Narrow on Purpose, Wide Where It Counts
Seven head manufacturers, more than forty shaft models, a dozen grip options. Not
everything made, but enough to cover the useful range of launch, spin and weight without duplication.
Stocking Philosophy
Why Carrying Everything Is a Marketing Claim
Any shop that says it carries every brand is either counting catalogue access or counting on you
not to ask. What matters is not how many logos are on the wall but whether the range covers the
whole span of behaviour a fitting might land on: high launch to low launch, high spin to low spin,
forty grams to a hundred and thirty, soft tip to stiff tip.
A wall of forty shafts that duplicates the same three profiles is worse than a wall of twenty
that spans the whole map. We build the wall around coverage. When a fitting lands somewhere we do
not stock, we order the exact model in at cost and you pay the standard build charge on top.
No volume agreements. We do not commit to moving a set number of units for any
manufacturer in exchange for pricing. That is the only reason we can say a recommendation is
unbiased and mean it.
What the Wall Has to Cover
Driver shaft weight40–85 g
Iron shaft weight55–130 g
Flex rangeSenior to X
Torque range2.0–6.5°
Driver loft heads8–13°
Hybrid loft heads16–28°
Wedge bounce4–14°
Grip core sizesUndersize to +2 wraps
If a fitting result falls outside one of these
ranges, that is a signal in itself and we will talk about it before ordering anything.
Categories
How the Wall Is Organised
Heads
Driver and Fairway
Adjustable-hosel heads from seven manufacturers, held in the loft range that actually gets used
rather than one of everything. Adjustable weighting matters more here than in any other category
because it lets one head cover several fitting outcomes.
Heads
Irons and Hybrids
Cast game-improvement through forged players' shapes, plus utility irons for the golfers who
genuinely strike them better than a hybrid. We keep a fitting cart with single heads so you are
never judging a set off one demo seven iron.
Heads
Wedges and Putters
Grind options are the point in wedges, so we stock the same loft in multiple soles. Putters run
blade through mid-mallet with different hosel styles so toe hang can be matched to your stroke arc
rather than to a look you like.
Shafts
Graphite Wood Shafts
The deepest part of the wall. Multiple bend profiles at each weight class, from lightweight
high-launch through low-spin tour profiles, because this is where a fitting most often turns on a
distinction the golfer cannot feel until they see it.
Shafts
Steel and Iron Graphite
Constant-weight and stepped steel across the flex range, plus lightweight graphite iron shafts,
which are far more useful for older golfers in a cold climate than their reputation suggests.
Grips
Grips and Build-Up
Rubber, corded and hybrid textures in four core sizes, plus tape build-up in quarter-wrap
increments. Grip size changes hand action more than most golfers expect, and it is the cheapest
variable on the whole list.
Ordering In
If It Is Not on the Wall
Roughly one block in six lands on a component we do not stock. That is not a problem and it is
not a reason to steer you back toward inventory. We order it at cost from the distributor, add the
flat build charge, and it lands in five to nine business days.
We will also happily build with a shaft you supply yourself, including one pulled from a club you
already own. Bring it in and Toby will check the frequency and spine before it goes anywhere near
epoxy.
- Cost plus build. Distributor price, plus thirty dollars per club assembled.
We will show you the invoice.
- Five to nine days. Typical turnaround from order to finished club, longer in
the April rush.
- Supplied shafts welcome. Checked for frequency and spine before installation,
no surcharge.
- Adjustable sleeves matched. We stock sleeves for the current adjustable
systems so a shaft can move between heads later.
